The Economic of West African States has said Nigeria paid $54m as a component of its commitment to the Community Levy for 2015 to execute projects and tasks in the sub-district.
The gathering's Commissioner for Finance, Mr Allieu Sesay, said this at the Second Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Parliament in Abuja on Tuesday.
Sesay was reacting to questions from parliamentarians taking after the presentation of the Community Status Report by the Commission's President,Mr Marcel de Souza.
The official said that part states had started to satisfy their budgetary commitments taking after reliable influence and edification of governments by the commission.
He said, "A great number of states were not paying preceding 2016; we had a few difficulties as far as individuals following some of our commitments yet we were in the long run ready to influence through reliable engagement.
"Fortunately for us, the Nigerian government paid group demand for 2015 to the tune of around 54 million dollars and we are exceptionally thankful for that.
"Other part states, also have been regarding their commitments as for the group demand and that has possessed the capacity to give the fortitude to group foundations to actualize activities and projects for 2016.
"Until further notice, we have gathered 185 million dollars as at September 2016 for the initial 75% of the year, discussing Jan. 1 to Sept. 30, 2016," he said.
He said that some part nations still owed some back payments dating to 2003 at the same time, in any case, included that they had indicated responsibility to follow the installment.
He said that Memoranda of Understanding had been marked with such nations to pay over a timeframe.
"There are overdue debts going back to 2003, the sum is very noteworthy.
"They have indicated duty to pay and we have marked various MoUs with them.
"They need to have an installment arrangement for the settlement of these back payments and a few nations have vowed to pay over a three-year time frame.

He included that part nations had paid around 60 for every penny of what wasplanned for, for the initial seventy five percent of the year.
He assist said that 113.8 million dollars had so far been dispensed to group organizations.
He said, "We are idealistic that they will respect the commitments and we will have the capacity to gather no lessthan 70 for every penny of what we anticipated for 2016; that is somewhatmore than 280 million dollars."
