- Rebecca and Jakobi were once homeless
- They never gave up and worked hard at their studies
- They have now been awarded scholarships to college
As the saying goes, if you can get through the night, there's a brighter day.
The cold nights were indeed long for Rebecca Schmitt and Jakobi Horn, who are students at Maynard Jackson High School in Atlanta, US, when they were homeless not too long ago.
However, they never gave up on hope for a brighter day and worked hard at their studies despite their immense challenges.

The two consequently excelled and their brighter day is finally at hand. They have been awarded with generous scholarships to help them through college.
They were among a group of outstanding students chosen for 2017's Student Teacher Achievement Recognition in Georgia.
Despite being homeless, Rebecca and Jakobi worked hard and won scholarships
They have also been accepted by some of the US' premier universities such as Spelman College, Northwestern University and Duke University.
