20 ships discharging frozen fish, corn, others in Lagos port

- Nigerian Ports Authority says 20 ships are currently in Lagos port discharging various commodities

- The commodities range from buck wheat, general cargo, frozen fish, containers, bulk fertilizer, steel products, crude palmolein, bulk gas, diesel and petrol

- Other ships are also expected


About 20 ships are discharging aviation fuel and other commodities at Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Friday.



NPA also said that other ships were discharging buck wheat, general cargo, frozen fish, containers, bulk fertilizer, steel products, crude palmolein, bulk gas, diesel and petrol.



The commodities range from buck wheat, general cargo, frozen fish, containers, bulk fertilizer, steel products, crude palmolein, bulk gas, diesel and petrol





4 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive in Lagos ports between Friday, June 30 and July 11.


The ships are expected to bring into the country general cargo, bulk fertilizer, container, bulk corn, buck wheat, frozen fish, steel products, container, ethanol, palmolein and petrol.


It said 11 ships had arrived at the ports, waiting to berth carrying bulk fertiliser, container, bulk coke, bulk corn, general cargo, crude palmolein and petrol.





24repoters.com  has reported that thirty one ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods arrived Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos between March 7 to March 19.
