Aisha Buhari returns to Nigeria

The wife of the president, Mrs Aisha Buhari has returned Nigeria from her trip to Umrah.

Aisha arrived the country on Saturday, February 11, after her trip to lesser pilgrimage made by Muslims to Mecca.

 

 

Her arrival was disclosed by Zaynab Ikaz- Kassim, an aide to Mrs Buhari, via her twitter account @Miss_Ikaz.

Recall that On Thursday, January 19, Buhari departed Abuja to the United Kingdom on a 10-day vacation during which he would undergo routine medical check-ups.

His trip and absence from the country has been trailed by controversy. There has been speculation that the president is sick and some even went as far as saying he was dead but all these reports have been debunked by the presidency.

The only time we heard about her was when she travelled to see her husband in the United Kingdom and photos were released as proof. But, Nigerians are not buying it as some have claimed it is photoshopped.

Aisha has also not been active on social media. Her last post on Facebook was on February 4 about world cancer day. On Twitter, it was on January 27 when she retweeted about making the people of Kogi State beneficiaries of free screening programme.

Her silence on this matter is deafening and some Nigerians are wondering why she has chosen to stay mute.
