State chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja with Yemi Osinbajo acting president, to discuss the issue of the president's health, Daily Trust reports.
The topic of discussion was disclosed by the leader of the delegation Mr. Henry Ajomale, in a chat with State House Correspondents afterwards.
He stated: "We feel that we should come and pay a courtesy call on the acting president, a member of our party.
"So, we discussed at length the situation in the country and our anxiety on the health of the president.
"And we are grateful that God in his infinite mercy has made him whole; which is very critical and important for the vision that we have for this country as APC government. "
Ajomale further disclosed that the acting president had briefed the delegation about the state of the economy "and the solution and antidotes to some of the mirage of problems that are facing this country."
He further stated: "We are very impressed with the situation.
"
We will go back to our states and let the people know that the government has very good intentions and we should be part and parcel of the government in order to ensure that the poor people of this country are getting better deals."
While commending the Buhari administration for its fight against corruption, Ajomale stated that the delegation was satisfied with the implementation of the government's policies, which he affirmed were tailored towards improving the lives of Nigerians.
Recall that 24repoters.com previously reported that acting president Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria departed for London on July 11, to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari.
The meeting lasted for one hour, and the acting president returned to Abuja immediately afterwards.
