Vincent Enyeama snubs Saraki, refuses to return to the Super Eagles

- Vincent Enyeama has turned down the pleas for him to return to the Super Eagles

- He was said to have refused to talk to Nigeria's Senate president Bukola Saraki

- Enyeama had a bust up with former Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh which forced him to retire

Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has reportedly turned down the pleas for him to return to the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of Nigeria's World Cup qualifier with African champions Cameroon.

Since Super Eagles first choice Carl Ikeme has been down with sickness, there have been serious concern from many Nigerians as to who will be at goal during the coming games.

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has also stated that he would try his best to convince Vincent Enyeama to return to the team.

But report just reaching 24repoters.com  revealed that the former Enyimba captain has also snubbed the Senate president Bukola Saraki as he refused to speak with him on phone.

According to the report, the chairman of the Senate committee on Sports Obinna Ogba explained how Enyeama shunned him and the Senate president in their efforts to plead with him to return to the Super Eagles.

“I personally called Enyeama up to three or four times, I pleaded with him, it got to a stage that I got the senate president involved, I went to the Senate president’s office, put a call across to him for the Senate president to speak to him, when I told him that the senate president wanted to speak to him, he cut off the line there. I called him severally and he refused to pick again,” Senator Ogba explained.

Meanwhile, Vincent Enyeama has not yet responded on the latest development, but it would be recalled that Enyeama left the national team following a bust up with former Nigerian coach Sunday Oliseh.
